A message from Stuart Banks, President of Banks Home Building:
I think it’s important to know a little bit about the person you are doing business with. Here’s why I love homebuilding and remodeling:
When I was young, our family occasionally traveled to a big city and I remember being captivated by the variety of buildings. The tall ones especially grabbed my attention! I had a love for architecture, but that got tucked away for a few years.
When I was growing up in central Alabama, my dad had an agriculture business. As a little boy, I watched my dad and older brothers work hard and get their hands dirty. Once I was strong enough, I began working for him, too. We loaded trucks and shoveled grain in grain silos. My dad instilled the value of working hard in all of us.
When I entered Auburn University, my plan was to pursue a degree in agriculture. However, my fascination with buildings and architecture resurfaced and changed the direction of my life. After graduating in 1984 with a degree in Building Science, I worked in commercial construction building large beach condos for a time. However, it was disappointing to see some of the behind-the-scenes problems that can occur. I even got out of construction and into the business world for a few years.
In 1991, I decided to start my own business. Residential construction was where I wanted to be. I borrowed money, took a risk and purchased a lot to build a home on. Banks Home Building was built one house at a time. The business evolved as I started building custom homes and doing renovations.
In the 26 years we’ve been in business, we’ve built many lifelong relationships with our clients. We are driven by the high expectations of our team and by our desire to build homes and provide renovations that are superior in quality and comfort. We work to ensure that your home is much more than an address; we want it to be an exceptional reflection of your family.
Sincerely,
Stuart Banks
